The name Briggs and Stratton has been around for decades. Its name has been synonymous with quality lawn equipment for more than a century, and it continues to produce high quality products today. Each engine is tested thoroughly to ensure it frequent use in any environment. Of course, as with all engines, air filters are a key component as they protect the engine from the dirt and grime that the engine will ingest on a given day as it is busy mowing your lawn.

Therefore, the air filters are composed of two different design elements.The first is an inner lining that keep out the larger pieced of debris that the finer inner lining is not designed to stop. They would likely poke a hole in the inner liner. The interior filter is designed to stop the far smaller particles that do not belong in an engine. The fine filter paper is corrugated for maximum defense against these finer particles and does its job well. Tiny seeds, bird waste, and insects are all the type of material any lawnmower will naturally pick up. If those particles were to reach the engine, the damage might be extensive.
The Briggs and Stratton filter keeps that engine clean and running well for years due to this double layer design in its filter. Therefore, if the homeowner maintains that filter in good shape, and replaces that filter according to the schedule in the owner’s manual, the homeowner will see outstanding results for many years. Replacing the filter is fairly easy to do as is shown in the manual, and is a very small expense for the maintenance of that lawn.
