Cheap and easy to use this blender does it all – nuts, fruit puree, and salsas, etc. It is light and aesthetically pleasing.
Comes with clearly marked sharp blades that blend the ingredients in a flash, it is also very easy to clean. Easy to use and great value for money.
Being an entry-level (cheap) processor it is not recommended if you are using it regularly and also not ideal for parmesan cheese or other difficult to blend foods. Quite loud.
6. Ninja QB1005-FS Master Prep Professional
With the very sharp six-blade technology this cleverly designed blender can turn ice into snow in a matter of seconds, you never have to worry about lumpy bits again as this processes everything into a fine consistency.
It is quiet enough so that you can still speak to someone whilst using it. Cleaning up is a breeze. It really is one of the best food processors overall.
It has multiple interchangeable pods – 2 Master Prep Bowls (16 oz.). 1 Master Prep Advantage Bowl (40 oz.). 1 Master Prep Pitcher (48 oz.) so you can make a smoothie/soup/or whatever for just one or multiple people. It is also quite robust and some people even say it is better than the nutribullet and for a fraction of the price.
To make it work you need to stand there holding the head down for it to work. Most people claim that the Ninja blends ingredients very well some people (very few) claim it doesn’t -so based on that information it may have trouble with very tough to grind vegetables?
5. Ninja Master Prep Professional (QB1004)
This model is the same as the QB1005 except it has one less container which means it is slightly cheaper. The same great blender is just more suitable for people who will use it only for smoothies or for individuals who live alone. And just like the previous model the plastic is BPA free for all those health-conscious people out there.
4. Cuisinart DLC-2007N Prep 7 7-Cup Food Processor
This 600-watt processor is very powerful and is easy to add small ingredients while it is going. It is suited for people who love baking. Cleaning is a breeze by using a damp cloth to wipe and you don’t have to worry about food getting stuck in crevices.
This processor is sturdy with its shatterproof design and surprisingly rather quiet. Easily disassembled and the rubber feet will hold it in position without scratching the countertop.
Difficult to add larger ingredients whilst going. The tiny white plastic lever that serves as the locking mechanism between the bowl and cover is difficult to use and prone to breaking. It does come with a warranty so if you happen to purchase this hold on to the receipt!
3. Ninja Master Prep (QB900B)
Looks like the ninja made it in the list again, why are they so popular? Perhaps the blades at top design or the ease of cleaning, the multiple bowls.
This is the smaller version and very reasonably priced to the two mentioned above. Ideal for the student living in a flat scenario – perfect for the breakfast smoothie although having said that it does have a 400-watt motor and is quite handy for dips and salsa’s, etc.
Due to its low price and small design some customers claim that it has a short lifespan when put under a lot of pressure, so if you are using it more than once a day every day you may want to go for a higher-end model
2. Hamilton Beach 70740 8-Cup Food Processor
Powered by a 450-watt motor and with the multiple attachments (4 in total) in seconds, you can make purees, grate cheese, and even make veggie chips. The lid flips over for easy storage and it disassembles easily making for quick and easy cleaning.
It is very quick to blend ingredients and the price makes for sensational value.
Remember the saying “the sword cuts both ways” well in regards to the price you get what you pay for, having said that it is fine if you plan to use it only every now and then but if you are planning to put your blender through some punishment then scroll down and look at some of the more expensive models.

With its 25 YEAR warranty, rest assured that you are purchasing a state of the art food processor. Breville has been around for years, you don’t stay in business for that long unless you make quality products.
Comes with 5 multi-function blades and a cool Lcd display which displays a count-up and count-down auto timer.
This juggernaut has a 1200 watt motor – equivalent to most commercial restaurant blenders.
Too many features to mention here. This is the top food processor in regards to quality.
It’s very big and bulky so you will need a lot of bench/cupboard space for it, and muscles to lift it.
Compared to the others mentioned here it is very expensive.
