Reasons you Should Choose to Buy a Casement Air Conditioner

January 2, 2020 by Jennifer Melton Leave a Comment

When you compare the old casement window air conditioners to the newer ones then you will see that there are a lot more advantages to having one than what you may have thought. One advantage is that you will definitely save more money because the newer window air conditioners don’t require nearly as much electricity to operate compared to the older versions.

These units operate quietly so they do not disturb you when you are resting or working. You can perform the installation process on your own, however, it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to install, so be prepared.

How can I benefit from Installing a Casement Wall Air Conditioner?

There are many ways that you can benefit, and as mentioned earlier, you will use less electricity when using a wall AC unit. Although the installation process can be quite lengthy it is a simple process and you will only need some basic tools to install it.

Central air conditioners cost more money; buying a casement one you will be saving. If you are renting a home or an apartment then a casement air conditioner might be ideal for you because it is portable and you can take it with you to where ever you might move next. The window air conditioners do not take up very much space, and they can be used to cool areas of about 100 sq. ft. in size.

The way your home is set up will also determine how well the unit will cool it. If your house does not have too many rooms or hallways then you will be good with using one, but if you have several hallways and lots of rooms in your home then it would be best to have a central AC unit installed instead; make sure to take these factors into consideration. During the cooler months of the year you will want to remove the casement air conditioner from your window because if you don’t you might feel drafts flow through it.

Which Window should I use to install the Casement Air Conditioner?

You should install the unit on a window where the air will be able to easily flow throughout the room. The electrical outlet should be located near the window for an easy plug-in. Try to use a separate outlet for the AC unit that isn’t being used by another electrical device, for safety reason.
