Ingredients: How to Cook Homemade Pasta

  1. Bow Ties, large or tiny 2 to 3 minutes
  2. Fettuccine 1 ½ to 2 minutes
  3. Lasagna 2 to 3 minutes
  4. Linguine 1 ½ to 2 minutes
  5. Noodles 1 ½ to 2 minutes
  6. Ravioli 7 to 9 minutes
  7. Tortellini 7 to 9 minutes

Directions:

In a large saucepan or kettle bring water to boil press the sear button this has the hottest setting (580 degrees) (3 quarts of water for 4-8 ounces of pasta) to boil.

If you choose to add salt and oil, you add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon olive oil to cooking oil to prevent the pasta from sticking. Add pasta a little at a time so that water doesn’t stop boiling.

Reduce heat to medium-high (375 degrees) and continue to boil, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for the time specified below or until pasta is al dente (firm to the bite) Drain in colander.

To cook purchased dry pasta, check the package directions because brands vary. Rinse with hot water, and run a few sprinkles through the pasta. If you using for pasta salad, completely cool pasta with cold water and add oil to prevent from sticking.
