Recipes for the grill: Burger Sauce
As you begin to explore with, cuisine and your new grill you will quickly learn that one of the most important things you need to have is good burger or barbeque sauce. While there are several bottled options in stores, it does not hurt to know how to make one tasty sauce.
Ingredients and Instructions
- 2 cups mayo
- 2 cups ketchup
- ½ cup yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons A1 original sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until you have smooth mixture, no lumps. You can then refrigerate or serve immediately.
Recipe for the Grill: Hot Dog Rolls
This is another of the quick and very simple recipes that you can prepare and serve to the family or the kids to try your skills with the new grill.
Ingredients and Directions
- 1 dozen hot dogs preferably fat free
- 1 dozen slices of fat free American Cheese
- 12 ½ small flour tortillas
First, preheat the grill and ensure you have properly oiled the grates to prevent sticking. If the hot dogs were refrigerated, ensure they have been removed in advanced and given enough time to properly thaw.
Place the hot dogs on the grill and turn when necessary to ensure each hot dogs are cooked inside and outside. Place the slice of cheese inside the tortilla with the hot dog on top and leave on the warm area of the grill to assist in melting the cheese. Serve immediately.
Recipes for the grill: Tasty homemade BBQ sauce
- ½ white onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 2/3 cups of ketchup
- ½ cup white vinegar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Place the olive oil in a saucepan and cook the onions and garlic until soft. Then add the white vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, chilli powder and cayenne pepper. Leave to simmer for 30 minutes. Serve immediately the mixture has cooled down.
Recipes for the Grill: Caramelized Chicken legs
Great tasting and loved by kids.
Ingredients and Directions
- 2 ½ pounds of chicken legs
- 1 2/3 tablespoons of olive oil. Helps prevent sticking
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 2/3 tablespoons ketchup
- ¾ cup honey
- 2-3 garlic gloves minces
Preheat and oil the grill using the olive oil and prepare a paper towel and tongs to continue applying oil to the grates once grill is hot. It is recommended that the grill is heated to 350F – or just hot enough to allow you to count one Mississippi, two…, and three…max before snatching your hand placed three inches over the grill away.
In a suitable dish mix the soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, salt and pepper until well mixed. Using a brush apply the sauce over the chicken legs and continue applying as you turn the legs on the fire. This recipe can be used to prepare chicken wings, breast or pork ribs.
